PinGrab respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same. This DMCA Policy describes how PinGrab responds to claims of copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (the "DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. § 512.
Last updated: April 2026.
PinGrab is a URL-parsing utility. The Service does not host, mirror, store, or redistribute Pinterest content on its own infrastructure. When a user submits a Pinterest pin URL, PinGrab parses publicly accessible HTML returned by Pinterest, identifies the underlying media URLs already present in that markup, and forwards them to the user's device. The media itself is served by Pinterest's CDN, never from a PinGrab server.
Because PinGrab does not host content, takedown notices to PinGrab can only result in restricting how the Service surfaces or processes a specific URL. Removing the underlying file from the open web requires contacting Pinterest directly.
If you are a copyright owner (or an agent authorized to act on a copyright owner's behalf) and believe that material processed by PinGrab infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notice that includes all of the following information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):
Send takedown notices to PinGrab's designated agent at:
Email: dmca@pingrab.app
Subject line: DMCA Notice — [URL]
We will review every complete notice promptly. Notices that omit a required element under § 512(c)(3) may be returned and considered ineffective until the missing information is provided.
If you believe that material was restricted as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). Send a written counter-notification to dmca@pingrab.app that includes:
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we may forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action seeking a restraining order against you within ten (10) business days, we may restore the affected access.
It is PinGrab's policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the access of users who are repeat infringers. PinGrab does not require user accounts to use the Service, so termination typically takes the form of restricting specific URL patterns or, where applicable, IP-level blocks.
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing — or that material was removed or restricted by mistake or misidentification — may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees, incurred by the alleged infringer, the copyright owner, or PinGrab.
